LA SEMAINE NATIONALE DE LA PÊCHE. du 2 au 10 juillet 2016
July 4, 2015 – July 12, 2015
National Fishing Week, July 6th to 14th, is an annual event that celebrates one of Canada’s favourite pastimes: fishing. But more than that, it celebrates the adventures families and nature lovers alike are finding on Canada’s countless waterways.
Canada offers over one million lakes, rivers and streams, three oceans and one of the most diverse natural environments on the planet. Fishing offers Canadians an opportunity to experience this vast landscape for themselves. Whether they’re seeking a little serenity, a getaway with family, or a heart-pounding adventure on the water, fishing offers it all.
Fishing is more than just a sport. Regular, seasonal and casual anglers find that fishing…
- helps to foster a new generation of conservationists
- is a great way to escape and reconnect with family and friends
- helps develop an appreciation for the environment and our natural resources
- provides mental and physical health benefits
About National Fishing Week
National Fishing Week is supported by Catch Fishing, a national program dedicated to encouraging Canadians to get outdoors and enjoy our angling heritage throughout the year. It is supported by federal, provincial and territorial governments, as well as hundreds of organizations and businesses that work hard to ensure sustainable fishing opportunities while safeguarding fish populations everywhere.
